Closet Woes
I feel like I have always been blessed with nice closets. Except for about 6 months in college. But then one of my roommates moved out and I got her awesome closet. The closet fairies love me.
Or at least they used to love me.
When Timothy and I got married and moved into our mobile home, the closet was a little less than ideal. And by a little less than ideal, I most definitely mean horrendous.
Tragically, I don’t have a picture of what it looked like before we moved in, but this is how it looked for several months after we moved in.
Yikes! Sorry for sharing that with you so early on a Monday morning.
Obviously, this has its problems. But if you can believe it, it was worse when we moved in. It had walls and sliding doors that covered over half of the closet!
I used good ol’ Photoshop to try and replicate it for ya.
Don’t be jealous of my Photoshop skills.
Those brown blobs are where the walls used to be. Yes, walls. As in, you can’t open them to get to your clothes. The middle part that isn’t covered by a beautiful Photoshop blob is where the sliding door used to be. Timothy and I fought over who had the most clothes in the middle. It was not a fun time.
Then one day, out of the blue, Timothy surprised me when I got home from work. He and my Dad took the walls down! The walls came tumbling down, oh hallelujah!
It was wonderful because we could get to all of our clothes, but the doorless system caused its own problems.
1) Since there was only one shelf in the closet, storage was a big problem. Timothy usually ended up with a big pile of clothes just laying out for our enjoyment.
2) I thought putting this little table in there would help, but it just became a catch-all for trash instead of clothes. No bueno.
3) My poor shoes got squished! Their plight broke my heart.
4) I had to put my tank tops on the top shelf. This is a problem because a) I was too short to comfortably reach them, and b) they usually ended up in a mess reminiscent of Timothy’s great clothes wad.
5) I had to pile all my big purses on the ground. No bueno again.
Oh, woe is me! Woe is our closet!
Want to know how we fixed it? Well, tune in tomorrow for part 2! It may involve some of this:

[...] daydreaming of being funny, this post is part two of our closet saga. The other day I documented our closet woes, and now I’ll show you our solution! It’s not exactly a closet whoah, contrary to the [...]
Love the pix of you and the Drill! Power tools are great! I just wish I could find some in Pink! Even though some people (PJB) think I’m kinda “butchy” I still like girly things too. So I really would like to have a Pink Drill!
And the Closet “problem” … why dont you make your spare bedroom into a Walk In closet? then if you would have company they could just sleep on a roll away bed or air matress in your closet/spare room?!
