Loving: florals. I think it’s because I’ve been at a ladies conference. That and the fact that Timothy pretty much hates florals. Especially the granny chic florals that are super trendy right now. A.k.a. the same florals that I basically want to cover our new house with. We’re working on it. But as long as I’m at ladies conference, I’m letting my floral flag fly high. (Hence the cheesy bathroom pic documenting the floral sweater, iPad case, and iPhone case.)
Reading: blogs. As always. But my current favorite has got to be Under the Sycamore. I mean, seriously. Have you guys been following her story of bringing her baby home from China? Oh, my heart. Ashley has to be THE most amazing mom in all of blog-dom.
Watching: Friends. This week at ladies conference I’ve shared a hotel room with one of my favorite young ladies. The tv has tons of channels, but as soon as we see a Friends episode, we stop. I must say, I haven’t missed any of those action shows or basketball games one bit.
Listening to: … umm, more like putting off listening to Christmas music. This year for Christmas, the music department at church is putting on a big Christmas musical kinda thing. And since I’m the music director, that means I pretty much need to go ahead, and I don’t know, start preparing. I have had a firm no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving rule my entire life, so I’m struggling over here.
Eating: candy. With a side of candy. The ladies conference is in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, which isn’t quite my thing. I mean, it’s lovely and all that, but I prefer vacation spots with a bit more concrete and skyscrapers and less nature and bears. The first day my mom and I walked down the main street and passed by endless camo and knife stores, places to buy airbrushed t-shirts and burnt wood plaques, and red neck gadget stores. But the candy stores got us every time. Four times to be exact. My flab has already started to thank me.
Anticipating: moving into our house! As of right now our closing date is set for October 4th, but the lady at the bank is pretty sure it will take longer than that. So I’m just over here not cleaning our current house because what’s the use? We’re moving anyways!
Thinking about: how different my brother and I are. He’s in his element in the mountains of Tennessee. He’s been wearing the same pair of camo pants for three days. Not army camo – hunting camo. He also bought a very scary knife that I’m pretty sure is illegal somewhere. And yesterday? I got my hair stuck in his fish hook that is stuck on his camo baseball hat. Who is this kid? Who am I? Did we even have the same parents?
So what about you? I’d love to hear your answers in the comments section! And thanks to Sometimes Sweet for the post idea!

Too funny =) It was great to see you at Ladies Conference and I agree – I am completely in love with florals right now!
I have the same iphone cover as you!!!
Oh, nice! Don’t you love it?!
You’re pretty close to me right now! Gatlinburg is only a couple hours away :)
I’m with you on the no Christmas music before Thanksgiving (or in fact before the start of Advent) thing, but as a church musician unfortunately it’s impossible to avoid. I still keep my rule at home, though! I’ve had to modify it to “no LISTENING to Christmas music, but rehearsing is grudgingly allowed”.
