Friday’s Favorite Five
It’s Friday!!!!
The favorite day of 99.9% of Americans. How magnificent! There should be no grumpy people roaming around today. It should just be all smiles and lollipops. Right?
Anyway, for today’s 10th episode of Friday’s Favorite Five, I thought I would celebrate one of my favorite resources: Goodwill.
Oh Goodwill, how I love thee. Let me count the ways.
FIVE AMAZING THINGS I’VE FOUND
WHILE GOODWILL STALKING
1) A Globe to Plot My Global Domination
I’ve been looking for a globe for as long as I’ve been Goodwill Stalking. I want to start a collection, and this is a great beginning piece! Only $3, large, and in perfect condition. I want to spray paint the stand yellow, but my husband thinks that would be weird. Hmmm. I don’t know.

.
2) A Way to Decorate with Florals – aka – Call it Vintage!
Timothy, if you’re reading this blog post, please just scroll down to the next item. This paragraph does not concern you.
I mean it.
Now, to all the women out there who may want to inject some femininity into your home. I’ve found the solution! Just find a cute something at Goodwill, like this adorable can thing for $0.50, call it “vintage” and you’re set! See, “vintage” is the new “modern,” just like “gray” is the new “black.” Just find a good word that goes along with it, and BAM! You now have florals in your home.
Timothy, if you read that paragraph, you’re in trouble. And I’m calling you TimothyPooPants for the rest of your life. And doing that annoying bird screechy sound you love oh so much every time you enter a room. And hanging floral curtains in our room.
.
.
3) Anthropologie-esque Bedspread
Oh my. This may be my favorite find of all. (Besides my first love, which is #5 on this list.) It reminds me of something you’d find at Anthropologie. The design is perfect, the colors are perfect, and the price was perfect. $5.30! Schweet!
As for anyone wondering about whether or not Timothy likes it, he said I could put it in the guest room. I’m not sure what that means, but I took it as HE LOVES IT!

.
4) A New Way For My Man to Write Me Love Letters (hint, hint, hint)
This typewriter was only $3! It has the prettiest typing font. It’s almost like cursive. Timothy was actually the one who found this, and we both fell in love with it immediately. He downloaded the original manual for this ancient thing. I’ll show you guys someday!
We need to buy some ink for it – where in the world will we find typewriter ink? Do people still use them?? We plan on inking it up, buying some cute paper, and making it a semi-guestbook for our house.

5) It Goes Without Saying
Ah, my precious. How can I ever make a Goodwill Stalking Fave Five and not include you guys? I rearranged our “table” to make it a little bit more sturdy. You can see the old arrangement here. And you can see further proof of my deep abiding love here.
There’s just something about vintage suitcases. Where have they been? Who packed their stuff in them? Why can I never find any hidden treasure in their secret compartments?

My dear friends, I hope you have an amazing weekend! If anyone is going to the IBC Live Recording tonight, I’ll see you there!

Whitney, your number #2, the can, my dad had one very similar. The design was a little different. I always loved that can, it always sat on his dresser, and I would play with it all the time. It just was cool to me….anyway, when I seen it, it brought back memories. So thank you!! Love you, lots and lots!
Awww, that’s so sweet! See, we were meant to be friends. The similar can proved it all!
….sooo….about that paragraph, haha…
Okay, TIMOTHYPOOPANTS!!! Hahah! I love you, sweety :)
