Jo-Ann Fabrics likes to trick you into thinking that having a sale is a special event.

I’ve been in there three times in the past three weeks (I may have a problem) and there has been a sale going on every single time.  It always makes my heart beat faster, my palms get sweaty, my brain works so fast that smoke comes out of it, and I try to remember if this is our bills week and if I can somehow sneak money out of our savings without Timothy knowing it.  Because it’s a sale.  If it’s a sale then you have to snatch it all up right then and there, right?

Nicely played, Jo-Ann.  Nicely played.

But I’m on to you.  And I think I’m gaining enough strength to withstand your charms and oh-so-exciting sales signs.

That is until I come visit you again.
