May you have a Monday that makes you laugh, smile, and sigh with joy.

Today is a pretty crazy day for the Gothra household.  It’s Timothy’s first day as a full-time self-employed business owner.  Yup.  Crazy, right?

Last Friday was his last day at his marketing job at Radio Shack.  It’s been kind of nerve-wracking over here.  His previous job was a temporary one that had the possibility to become longer lasting, and we had just assumed it would be the longer lasting kind.  But no.  So Timothy had a little over a month’s warning and started applying like crazy.

He actually had 3 interviews/job offers during that time, but had to turn them all down so we could be available for ministry at our church.

We want to be involved in the ministry as much as humanly possible and all these job offers wouldn’t allow that.  So, we remembered that we serve a miracle working God, and just kept walking by faith.

Last week, Timothy had a lot of business come into his company, Vuew Originals.  Our goal is for him to be able to work on that full time, but we had no idea how long that would take until it could support us financially.  Well, we’ve been praying.  Been trusting.  Been applying.  And this seems to be the door that’s opening up.

We have no idea what’s going to happen.  We have no idea if this will last 2 months or 10 years.  We just know that when you place it all in God’s hands, when you give Him all your hopes and dreams, and when you decide in your heart that His will is your aim, He’ll take care of the rest.  Whatever His plans for us – times of prosperity or times of struggle – we’re ready.  And excited.

So, obviously that has nothing to do with the picture.  I just feel joyful in my heart today, and that silly Superman cartoon cracks me up.

Do any of you feel joyful in your heart today?  Let me hear about it!  Let’s spread some cheer. :)
